GeekFest Rants Episode 311- 3D TV - Dracula Figures - Alien-Aliens Comics
Wednesday Jun 28, 2017
Wednesday Jun 28, 2017
Today on GeekFest Rants Carlos will prematurely mourn the passing of 3D Television. All signs are pointing towards the end of another technical groundbreaking era. We'll look at the history of 3D entertainment and some of it's high lights and low lights.
Then we'll nerd over Carlos' Bram Stoker's Dracula figure/model collection. Three pieces is not much of a collection but boy are they fantastic.
And on our comic book segment we'll go over the amazing Alien, Illustrated Story and the kinda good Aliens, Newt's Tale. Even mediocre Aliens product is still good for Carlos.

Today on GeekFest Rants Carlos will Rant about the new movie he saw, It Comes At Night. Is it a great movie? Is it confusing? Is it worth a second viewing? Are the critics right or wrong? You will find out.....maybe. And while talking about second viewings, we'll list some very good movies that we really don't want to re-watch.
Then we'll take a trip to the Pandora, the World of Avatar. This new Disney - Animal Kingdom attraction might just have the best theme park ride ever. As well as very tall skinny blue inhabitants.
Plus, we take a ride back to 1984/85 to re- write a wrong in Carlos' time traveling timeline...... a missed Hall and Oates concert. This past week we corrected that injustice in nerd 80's pop music history.

Tuesday Jun 13, 2017
Hey kids! Thanks for stopping by. We have a super fun show ahead of us this week. We start off with some talk about The Airplane Soundtrack and some more audio tape stuff and then from there it's onto At The Movies where we take a look at Tom Cruise's latest, The Mummy. It's supposed to be the door to an all new Universal Monster Universe
Then for the main event we talk about The Dig for a bit. There is a story about a dude who hates everything, Fidget Spinners, Pen Knives and Droopy Dogs as well as some thoughts from one of The Cannibals. It's a real good time.
We finish the show off with some talk about a local show I've been digging called Creature Features. It brings me back to the days of my beloved and missed TV 50 with local advertising and a wacky horror host. Its a ton of fun. Here is there Facebook Page. They post complete episodes on Youtube. Give it a watch. I dig it the most right now.

Hey everyone, “Mr. Sensational” Gino Vega here, back with Episode 7 of the “Mr. Sensational” Gino Vega Podcast on the I See Robots Radio Network!
This episode I kick things off by talking about getting sick for the first time in awhile and sharing a story about some teenagers who recently menaced us here at Sensational Manor.
Then it’s on to some TALES FROM BENNETT VALLEY. Bennett Valley was the first neighborhood I lived in here in Santa Rosa, CA. Looking back at my time there yields memories of hanging out at random fools’ houses and apartments, roaming the hood in search of 7-11, and discovering Garbage Pail Kids, M.U.S.C.L.E.s, comic books and...ADULT MAGAZINES.
Unlike that TV show Seinfeld, the MSGV Podcast really IS a show about nothing!
As always, you can check out the rest of the I See Robots Radio Network empire at www.iseerobots.com, you can support our ventures (and get access to premium content) for as little as ONE DOLLAR A MONTH at www.supportthereport.com, and you can find links to connect with me at Facebook and Twitter over at my abandoned website www.ginovega.wordpress.com.

Geekfest Rants Episode 308 - Special LPs - Apes Comic - D&D
Saturday Jun 03, 2017
Saturday Jun 03, 2017
Where do our music tastes originate from? Today on GeekFest Rants we begin to find out as Carlos unearths his old record albums to find out what makes these 70s/80s LPs special to him. From Huey Lewis, to Vangelis, to Kurtis Blow, to Pink Floyd, what do all these have in common? Absolutely nothing other than they are on our playlist and we grew up on them.
Then we make a left turn into the Planet of the Apes comic book movie adaptation. Could this be the best comic book movie adaptation we've read so far? Mmmmmmaybe. And finally, we go back in time and then forward, to look at our family's resurgence interest in Dungeons and Dragons. From our old high school days to our current family game night, we dust off our multi sided dice and begin some new adventures.
