How would you improve a movie?  How many times have you had a conversation with someone, about a movie, that goes something like this:  What if, in the story, they would have done that differently?  Today on GeekFest Rants we will do exactly that.

We will theorize on alternate ways to improve the Star Wars: The Last Jedi script while maintaining the general structure of the core story.  We will also look at the similar story beats that the new trilogy takes from the original trilogy.

For the next bit we talk about a fun trip I took to The Vallejo Flea Market. I'll talk on what I saw, what er ate and haunted soap! It's a super fun segment.

From there we hit up At The Movies where this week we tackle one of my most anticipated Summer Movies: Eight Grade. It's a pretty candid look into what life might be like for 8th graders growing up nowadays..yikes. It's great but has some stuff that's gonna make you feel weird.

For the final segment I talk about Megos, The Target in Vallejo as well as this massive comic book sorting project that I've been working on. It's time consuming but also pretty fun and satisfying.

It was the dawn of the third age of mankind, ten years after the Earth/Minbari war. The Babylon Project was a dream given form. Its goal: to prevent another war by creating a place where humans and aliens could work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call, home away from home for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanderers. Humans and aliens wrapped in two million, five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal, all alone in the night.

It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5.

Join Carlos at GeekFest Rants as he finally takes on one his favorite science fiction series, Babylon 5.

When was the last time you heard the story of Star Wars?  Now a days, not so much.  But a long time ago, before the home video revolution, records were our way of reliving the Star Wars saga.

Today on GeekFest Rants Carlos breaks out the turntable (google it kids) to go over all the different kinds of record versions of the Star Wars story.  Plus we'll look at the most modern entries into this medium.

Then we will profile the fantastic contributions made by Colin Cantwell into the creation of Star Wars.  From his conceptual art to his kit bashed models.

Alongside with Ralph McQuarrie, Cantwell is yet another creative, inspirational giant behind the final look of the Star Wars universe.
