I was lucky enough to get away from it all for a bit and talk with my good pal Kevin Zerbe about the giant fire that's currently giving us major trouble here in good old Santa Rosa. Usually the PP is fairly funny or at least we try to be but this time around we took it a bit more serious. This is basically a boots on the ground news report of what's going on. I hope this helps to keep you a informed from a 1st hand perspective. My personal tale of escape is to follow on this week's TRU RPT. This is just a more general "What's going on over there" type thing..

Today on GeekFest Rants we're getting a double dose of Star Trek with a side of The Warriors and Blade Runner 2049. Carlos begins with his poster collection picks of 1982's Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan and 1979's The Warriors.
Then we take a look at the 3 new pre-Blade Runner 2049 film shorts, 2036: Nexus Dawn, 2048: Nowhere to Run, and Black Out: 2022. And finally we review the new television series Star Trek: Discovery.

Onto the main event my blow by blow look at the 5th annual Santa Rosa Toy Con. We saw Walter Koenig, we saw Michelle Nichols, that's Chekov and Uhura from The Original Star Trek.. Total fun. I bought toys, I saw toys and I'm gonna tell you all about it!
