On this week's show we start off with a new tune From Ensign Kate and Iceberg. It's a take off on Eric B and Rakim's classic jam "I Aint No Joke". It's pretty fun. I was proud of the pair for pooping it out.
From there me and Iceberg meet up and talk about some stuff like Bay Area Rap and who is the GOAT of MC's.. He and I have differing opinions on some stuff. It's a nice conversation between two pals.
Then we talk about The Lego Movie 2. I really dug it. It makes an interesting observation on Chris Pratt and his career arc..
Then at the end of the show we take some texts and a voicemail before talking about TRU Kids and a couple other things. It's a fun show!
Any feedback can be sent via SMS or voicemail to 707-532-JAMS (5267) anytime day or night!

This week on the show we start off with a call from Johnny 5's Agent, AB Silver. He wants to set a date to come on the show and talk about a new TV project that J5 is planning on launching. I'm a bit interested in finding out what that is to be honest with you. Let's hope we can work out an appearance.
From there we head into At The Movies where we tackle Gina Rodriguez's latest flick, Miss Bala. It's an action type deal where Gina takes on A Drug Cartel South of the border. It was alright
For the final segment we talk Megos, a recent race I had with the local toy scalper and a bunch of other fun things. It's a pretty good little segment if I do say so myself.
Make sure to share this episode with your pals on Facebook or twitter or whatever your fave platform is.. It really helps to get the word out there.

Today on GeekFest Rants join Carlos and Steve as they explore their guilty pleasures... That is, film and TV guilty pleasures. These are the kind of films/tv shows that usually don't come up in conversation first, or you will not run out to buy a t-shirt with it's name on it. However, when it's playing on TV, you cannot help yourself to pay attention to it for the 5th, 6th, or 7th time.
For every Star Wars there has to be a Dune and for every Dredd there has to be a Judge Dredd. Take that Mr, "I am the Law".

This week on the TRU RPT We have a moderately comprehensive look at Star Wars Action Figure cases. We cover everything from the 1st vinyl cases to the famous Darth Vader head. It's a ton of fun.
Before that though we spend some time talking about perspective and how it can affect how we wind up feeling about things. I share a story about having to ride my bike over to the school for a Band Concert. It's sort of interesting...
Then we have at the movies, the action figure case deal before we end the show off with some calls, more about 89' Batman, Wrestling, Gino Vega calls in.. it's a pretty good segment.
Wanna call in? You can do so at 707-532-JAMS (5267) we can handle either voice or text messages.. It's a hoot.

Today on GeekFest Rants, for our poster of the month, we are focusing on the original Factors Darth Vader poster. This might be the first officially licenced Darth Vader poster ever. If you were a fan of Star Wars back in 1977, chances are you might have had this poster in your bedroom wall.
Join Carlos as he looks at the history behind this iconic poster. From the design, the other ones available from that line, and the man behind the mask, Kermit Bryce Eller, who ended up touring the country as Darth Vader for special promotional events. Then we jump to the Star Trek Enterprise XCV-330.
This is an amazing Eaglemoss miniature that depicts the legendary never before seen (in operation on TV or film) precursor to the more familiar Enterprise models. Yet, you might have seen a painting or sculpture of it on Star Trek the Motion Picture or Star Trek: Into Darkness.

This week on the good old TRU RPT we're gonna take a look at a lot of the awesome movies coming out in 2019 and man, it looks to be a great year! Before we get there though we start off with a little bit that I recorded on the drilling platform we use to launch personnel down to The Pooptronics Undersea Base. It's pretty fun, there is wind and rain and finally I get shot down a tube!
For At The Movies we take a look at the latest in the M. Night Shyamalan Superhero universe, it's a movie called Glass. I dug it but had to admit that it was pretty silly. I go a bit indepth without really spoiling anything that's not in the trailers.
Then at the end of the show we do a TROY for a local deli, talk about The Little Library we put in front of the earth base and take some calls about Batman 89 and other topics. Dude! Vic Sage from The Diary Of An Arcade Employee graced us with a Top 5 Movie List! It was great!

Before we get there though we start off with a brief interview with Engineer Emily. She tells us what she's up to, what new skill she's working on and the state of The Jupiter Moon Base and if we have any chance of ever going there again...
For At The Movies it's all about Bumblebee the latest Transformer flick. It was actually quite a bit more fun than I thought it would be.
Then it's the top 5.. Make sure and let me know what you think. I feel like number one this year might be a bit controversial..
For the end we take some texts and voicemails and talk about Megos and stuff! Make sure to tune in all the way to the end. There is a special news bulletin!

"Hey, we don't serve their kind here...Your droids. They'll have to wait outside. We don't want them here." These lines from the Cantina bartender in Star Wars, prompted a whole bunch of questions from us lately.
Is there a prejudice against droids in the Star Wars universe? Are droids treated like slaves? Are droid sentient? What could have prompted this anti-droid sentiment?
Join Carlos and Steve today on GeekFest Rants as we explore this often forgotten plot detail.....at least until the we met L3-37 on Solo: A Star Wars Story.

This week on The TRU RPT we start off with a new song by DJ.Iceberg Thirteen. It's pretty fun and it transitions nicely into a segment I recorded over at The Mojo Sales Flea Market where I talk about fools not wanting to sell you stuff.. It's pretty decent.
For At The The Movies we talk a bit about Creed II which I liked but thought had pretty weird psychology. The flick made me root for the bad guy way more than it did the good guy.. It was kind of odd. Let me know what you think if you've seen it too.
From there we move into some Mego Talk some Christmas messages from some pals and end the show with a little bit of talk about Fonzie and his cousin in Waukesha...
Overall it's a pretty fun episode and yes, I am aware that I forgot to talk about the 2 missing entrants to the 5 Mic Movie Hall Of Fame.. Don't worry. I'll get to it next episode...

Today on GeekFest Rants join Carlos and special guest author, Andrew E.C. Gaska, as they look at the history of toxic fandom with events like Gamergate and Comicsgate. Then Carlos returns to cover the Rebel Force Radio controversy with the conclusion of these 3 part investigative reports.
The great, late Stan Lee said it best "The world may change and evolve, but the one thing that will never change is the way that we tell our stories of heroism. Stories have room for everyone, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or color of their skin. The only things we don't have room for are hatred, intolerance, and bigotry. That man next to you, he's your brother. That woman over there, she's your sister...Excelsior!"

Happy Halloween kids! This week we have a SUPER AWESOME episode of the show ahead of us. Let's start with the small stuff first. We lead off with a new song from ship DJ Iceberg Thirteen and then move onto a little talk about AMC's hit show, Fear The Walking Dead and then it's At The Movies where we talk about a GREAT movie I saw called Sicario. It was dope.
Then it's on to the Main Event which is sure to be a classic bit of Toys R Us Report History. We went Ghost Hunting At The Haunted Toys R Us in Sunnyvale California. Watch this bit from Real People to learn more..
It's all in the episode though. So you can hear it there but it's also fun to watch. Basically it's all haunted up and me an my boy Iceberg Thirteen went down there to see what's what. I'm not a big believer in this sort of thing but we've came up with a recorded that might change my mind! You have to hear it. It's pretty creepy.
Look dudes, this is going to be something people talk about for years. You wanna be part of that right? Like all cutting edge and in the know as far as what people talk about right?
Make sure to tell a friend and make sure to hop on over to SupportTheReport.com and see what we can do for you for helping out with The Toys R Us Report. Any and all support is greatly appreciated..! Thanks again kids! Have a great Halloween!
