The IseeRobots Show Ep.2: Second To None

This time around on The IseeRobots Show we start off with a fun little phone call from my homie from inside Johnny Jail a dude that goes by the name of Tommy Salami. Tommy is from New Jersey and you might recognize him as the dude who was slurping soup in the early Johnny Court bit we played on the show. He's a good guy.

Then we head to At The Movies where we take a look at Midsommar the first great horror flick of the Summer of 2019 and then we do a lightning round of the movies I saw since last we spoke, everything from Toy Story 4 to Shaft..

For the main event of the show we take a look at an online game I play called The Hollywood Stock Exchange. You can find it HERE!!! It's a ton of fun even if this segment isn't lol..

In the final segment we do some Summer Of Fitness, open a Karate Kid Action Figure Set that I got and talk on a whole bunch of other fun thing... It's a real hoot.

Geekfest Rants Ep.386: Cyborg versus The Six Million Dollar Man - Star Wars Album Poster

Today on GeekFest Rants we take a look at Cyborg. No, not DC's Cyborg or Jean-Claude Van Damme' s Cyborg.  Instead we are looking at the book Cyborg by Martin Caidin which inspired the TV sci-fi favorite, The Six Million Dollar Man. 

We will cover the many direct connections between the book and the original TV movie, before the show started.  Plus we'll take a look at some cool Steve Austin and Bionic Bigfoot action figures. 

Then for our poster of the month we have a John Berkey Star Wars poster that was included free inside the original Star Wars soundtrack 2 record LP...if you remember what a record LP is.

Does anyone remember a time when we had these things called toy stores?  Well, today on GeekFest Rants we travel back in time to our early days of toy collecting. 

Join Carlos and Steve as they compare and contrast two somewhat different kinds of collecting backgrounds. From actual toy stores, to stores with a toy section, to online retail, online auctions, and beyond.   

Just like there are generations that have not experienced 8-tracks, records, and cassettes, we will now have a generation that might never see a toy store.

Hey kids! Thanks for stopping by, this week we have a great show ahead of us. It's special for a few reasons. For the first time EVER! we tackle a topic involving Star Wars AND this is our longest episode to date! Awesome right?

Outside of Chewbacca we talk about the sad closure of a local video store, A GREAT movie that I saw and when it finally gets down to The Real Toy Talk we go on so long about Chewbacca that I had to add an extra 10 minutes to the show to fit it it all in. 

 

We talk about Wookies and their homeworld and what sort of physical gifts a Wookie is born with. It's fascinating stuff! We talk about Chewie and the movies and why he has always been a special character to me. 

 

There is a bunch of great stuff this week including a bunch of new musical breaks. Real great stuff. Honestly this might be my favorite show to date.. 

 

 I want to give a big shout out to KRS One and thank him helping us with the structure of the show. Without him I never would have come up with at least half of it!
